Mitcham does it again with another page turner! I was hooked after a few words in. He definitely has a way to entrance the reader, which kept me hanging on to every word. I bought the book, but shortly after bought the audiobook which I loved!! Do yourself a favor, and buy all his books! You will not be disappointed! Debbie M.

Based on a character from his Charlotte MacHen series, you are taken from a DNA test to the opening of a whole new world for Poppy that changes the course of her life. After she accepts a new job in Louisiana as an Assistant District Attorney she meets new characters that you will fall in love with. You will see action through feuds, murders, and a love interest. BIO
Michael W. Mitcham is a retired law enforcement officer and a U.S. Navy veteran from the Vietnam War Era. Born in Leesville, Louisiana, and reared in the Burr Ferry community, Mike spent his childhood balancing school and work on his family farm. This farm inspired his autobiography, Life on Old Sand Road, a collection of short stories describing his life from birth to deployment.
Following his military service, Mike moved to Tampa, Florida, where he began his career in law enforcement. Today, he spends his retirement writing poetry and romantic fiction and tending to his garden, a hobby he has enjoyed throughout his life.
His debut book was Bird on a Wire, followed by Charlotte MacHen: Angel on Fire, Charlotte MacHen: My Daughters’ Keeper, and the final installment in the series, Charlotte MacHen: Yellow Scarf. Poppy Nichols/Assistant District Attorney was the first book in the Poppy Nichols series.
